Thursdays at the Park–Rain or Shine!

So the weather isn’t exactly what we were hoping it would be like for the Olympic Sculpture Park’s first Thursday Night at the Park of the summer season. However, this being Seattle, we are fully prepared.

Throw on your favorite fleece and join us at the Olympic Sculpture Park tonight from 5:30 pm – 8 pm for a fun night of live music, food and art! Activities will be moved into the PACCAR Pavilion in case of heavy rain.

The sunny Caribbean sounds of the steel drum and dance ensemble, Bakra Bata, will put a smile on your face and provide a summery vibe despite the clouds.

At 6:30 p.m. take an “Art Hit” tour. This week’s tour will feature artist Carolina Silva, who will talk about her sculpture Air Below Ground.

Want to create some art? Make a recycled bug scultpure with one of SAM’s teaching artists. This activity is appropriate for all ages so feel free to get kids involved!

Some of Seattle’s best food trucks will be serving yummy bites, and TASTE Restaurant will be serving dinner fare and holding a wine tasting.

No matter what the weather’s like, it’s going to be a great night. See you at the Olympic Sculpture Park!
